I've been saying since the results came back from my biopsy that if there's such a thing as a cancer lottery, I won it. Further evidence - this morning a nurse showed me the paperwork they use to evaluate patients' chemo regimens and decide what anti-nausea drugs they'll be put on. One of my chemos, the Cisplatin, is listed as "Risk 4, High Emetic Potential (>90% of emesis)" - the other one, Etoposide, is only "Risk 3, Moderate Emetic Potential (30-90% of emesis)". "Emesis" is of course fancy-talk for the technicolor yawn. And I have yet to experience any significant nausea in connection with my treatments - appetite has actually improved dramatically starting with that first inpatient cycle, even if sense of taste takes an occasional vacation.
Just 'cause it's been a while - I think the way my hair is (hesitantly) growing back in (haven't shaved it down since Halloween) makes me look a bit like Charlie Brown.
